Huetiful Salon's Nanosmoothing Treatment (written 7/9/15)

The month of July, for me, is what I like to call my family reunion month. 99.5% of time they are held in the South. We all know what the weather is like down South. Hot and humid! The weekend of the Fourth was no exception. I was in Huntsville, AL where rain was also thrown into the hot and humid mix. Knowing this and knowing that I wanted to get my hair done for the dinner part of the itinerary, I got the NanoSmoothing Treatment done instead of the regular blow out. Check out the video below to get a little more info on the treatment.

My appointment was on June 28th which was 5 days away from the dinner. I unfortunately couldn't get an appointment any closer to the day. Now when I get a regular blow out, after a few days I am struggling to not wash my hair and go back to curly/kinky because my hair starts reverting at the roots. Wrapping my hair is out of the question at that point and my hair is back in a ponytail.

This treatment served me well over the weekend. My hair survived the rain and humidity. It did not revert in the slightest. I am really impressed. The fact that my hair is still straight 11 days later is a testament to it truly working for my hair. The treatment is expensive. $175 to be exact. Not everyone's cup of tea. But the treatment lasts 8-12 weeks. Right now it's worth it for me. It delivered on it's promises. I'm washing my hair on Sunday, 2 weeks after initially getting my hair done. I want to see if my hair completely reverts back. I did flat iron my hair again to give my hair a little bump. I flat ironed at 340 degrees w/ only 1 pass.

Sunday 7/12/15 - My hair fully reverted. My hair is a slightly looser then normal because of the Nano. When the Nano wears off, my hair will return to is normal state. I am thinking about getting the Nano again in September.

  2. Oh snap! This looks really interesting! Do you know if it's any different from the all of the other keratin straightening treatments on the market now?

    Thanks for sharing!

    1. To me it seems like less heat is used when this treatment is done. It's infused into the hair during the steaming process instead of with the blow dryer like the other treatments on the market.

  6. It looks really good!! I'm glad your texture reverted back.

Huntsville is a beautiful area to me. I'm from the south so I'm use to the heat, kind of.
